Acne
Body acne is just like facial acne. Many people also call it a genetic disorder. If your parents have suffered from body acne, chances are that you will also suffer from the same. It’s also noted that people who have suffered from facial acne have also encountered body and back acne at some point in their lives. The only difference between body acne and facial acne is that the skin on the body has bigger pores than the skin on the face and thus body acne causes more damage than facial acne.
As I’ve mentioned before, body acne is as similar as facial acne. In fact, developing acne on your back is so common that it’s commonly called as backne. Nobody prefers having body acne, but in order to eliminate it you should know different body acne causes. Body acne is generally caused by clogged pores that attract dirt and unhealthy foreign particles and eventually block the skin. The pores get filled with sweat, dirt and oil and this triggers the growth of unhealthy bacteria on the body. Not keeping your body clean and living in unhygienic surroundings is also one of the prime causes of acne of the body. Wearing tight clothes for longer periods also causes body acne.
Following effective body acne treatments is one of the best body acne solutions. If home remedies don’t work for you, you can opt for laser treatments which have always proven effective. Most of these procedures function by removing the damaged layers of skin and scar tissues. Collagen injections are also known to clear the appearance of acne scars. Laser treatments are also popular when it comes to effective body acne scar removal.
If you are not a big fan of the acne treatments which are available in the market, I would suggest you try these body acne home remedies which guarantee results. The most important point to remember while getting rid of body acne is that your body secretes lots of oils and sebum. You need to keep your skin moist and hydrated. Body acne is often seen in teens as they go through puberty. When you go through puberty, your body produces excess sebum due to hormonal imbalance. It’s very necessary to have a bath daily and keep your body clean.
Drink lots of water. It’s always good to keep the body hydrated and what better drink than water to keep up the moisture levels of the skin. Eating more fruits and veggies is also wise body acne prevention. It’s also important to exfoliate body with a good scrub once a while. Avoid eating oily and processed foods follow an acne diet for a better living.

Acne and rosacea patients take note- you must know about proper skin-care and cosmetic usage to successfully manage your sensitive skin. This is the counsel of Dr. Diane Berson, who runs a dermatology practice in New York City.
A critical step in reducing skin sensitivity is understanding the importance of the stratum corneum. The stratum corneum is the outermost layer of the skin and is composed of dead, flat skin cells held together by the protein keratin. This skin barrier prevents molecules from passing into and out of the skin and thereby protects the lower layers of skin while reducing skin sensitivity.
Healthy, uninjured skin is more effective at preventing skin irritations that may result from using cosmetics and skin care products. Individuals with altered nerve endings or more neurotransmitters under their skin are more susceptible to minor skin irritants in cosmetics and skin care products. When the skin is excessively dry or damaged, it cannot adequately protect these nerve endings. Sound moisturizing and a strong immune system help minimize possible skin irritants. Read more…
